What were you doing before Gridcog, and what got you into the energy space?

I joined Gridcog from EO Charging, where I led the development of smart charging products for fleets, including partnerships, product launches, and our strategic roadmap to monetise EV flexibility in energy markets. Previously, I worked as a consultant across the energy value chain with investors, regulators, and utilities spanning renewables, BESS, and broader electrification.

I pursued a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, building on an early interest in power system modelling during my undergraduate studies. My interest in energy however has long extended beyond engineering challenges to how the sector reflects and influences broader global forces. Industrial policy, geopolitics, technology, and economics collide in the energy system, determining what gets built, what scales, and what phases down as the transition unfolds. As these forces increasingly align, the opportunity to help deliver rapid change and drive sustainable energy growth globally is what drew me into the sector.

What is your role at Gridcog?

I’ve joined Gridcog as Senior Energy Analyst and I’ll be working with customers to unlock the full potential of our platform to help model the increasing complexity of energy markets in the UK and Europe. I look forward to collaborating closely with the tech team to enhance our platform capabilities with new features, and ensure we stay up to date with the latest dynamics of the rapidly changing energy landscape. I’m also excited to support broader market education with our Gridcog videos and blogs exploring the impacts of regulatory change, innovative commercial arrangements, and market interactions through leveraging the Gridcog platform.

‍What attracted you to working with Gridcog?

I first met much of the Gridcog team at an Unplugged event in London, and the team’s passion, enthusiasm, and deep energy expertise was immediately clear. With Gridcog supporting a growing number of geographies and customers from global energy majors to EV fleet operators across 2025 it is an exciting time to join the team.

Having spent plenty of time in previous roles pulling together Excel files alongside increasingly unwieldy Python scripts, I immediately recognised the value of Gridcog’s platform! I was particularly impressed by the flexibility of the platform from modelling technically complex behind-the-meter arrangements, such as P415, to co-located BESS and renewable assets, as well as the complex commercial offtake structures required to finance these projects.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy running across London’s great parks, exploring the city’s food scene and this year have taken up Krav Maga. I also love to travel whether that’s hopping across for a city break in Europe or hiking across US National parks.…

What technology could you not live without?

Definitely my air fryer. Great for experimenting with new recipes alongside tried and tested favourites. Bonus points for being energy-efficient!

An interesting EV charging workshop!
