Bankable energy modelling software, from inputs to IRR.
Watch Gridcog model a German solar farm retrofit with co-located battery storage, an existing subsidy and a shared grid connection. Every input, constraint and assumption stays visible, so you can show lenders every step from assumption to IRR.

What makes an energy model bankable?
Bankable energy modelling software has to let lenders and investment committees follow every step from assumption to IRR. In the demo, Gridcog models a project as it will be built and contracted, interval by interval, with every input visible.
Co-location by design
Wind, solar, storage and auxiliary loads, configured granularly and optimised together, so you see the true combined value of a site.
The project as it will be built
Flexible connection agreements, renewable priority rules, degradation schedules, battery availability and ramp rates, so the model reflects your project's physical realities.
Every commercial structure
Power purchase agreements (PPAs) and subsidies alongside frequency containment reserve (FCR), automatic frequency restoration reserve (aFRR) and wholesale trading, day-ahead swaps and revenue floors, with capex and opex optimised at every interval.
Forecasts, not perfect foresight
Gridcog's uncertainty feature dispatches assets on price and generation forecasts, the way traders and optimisers actually operate. That difference matters when you're securing finance.
Cash flows for every stakeholder
Model cash flows for the developer, joint venture partners, an optimiser or a PPA offtaker, so everyone sees their slice of the economics.
Numbers lenders can follow
Interval-level cash and energy flows, summarised into revenue streams, IRR, return on investment and payback, ready for your financing model. Every dispatch decision is traceable.
Built for projects that are hard to call.
From co-located solar and batteries to merchant exposure and constrained connections, Gridcog models a project as it will be built and contracted, interval by interval.
The software allows us to quickly turn around complex financial models, which is invaluable in a market that's as dynamic and competitive as this one.

What is bankable energy modelling software?
Software that models an energy project's physical and commercial performance in enough detail, and transparently enough, for lenders and investment committees to follow every step from assumption to IRR. Gridcog does this for solar, storage, hybrid and behind-the-meter projects, interval by interval, across 40+ markets.
How is Gridcog different from other energy modelling software?
Gridcog co-optimises the full revenue stack in a single solve, dispatches on a forecast and settles on actual prices, and models every participant and contract in a project. Every input, constraint and assumption is visible, so any result can be explained. The more complexity, uncertainty and optionality a project has, the more these differences matter.
Is Gridcog better than a spreadsheet model?
Spreadsheets work until a project adds a battery, an offtake contract and a constrained connection. Gridcog models them together, interval by interval, with every assumption visible, and the same method can be reused across sites and markets instead of being rebuilt for each project.
Can I use my own price curves?
Yes. You can run a project on the price forecasts you choose. Compare several curves side by side to see the full range of returns, from merchant downside to contracted upside.
Which revenue contracts can Gridcog model?
Merchant exposure, power purchase agreements (PPAs), contracts for difference (CfDs), subsidies such as Germany's EEG, tolling agreements, swaps and revenue shares. Each participant gets their own cashflow, so you can see how value and risk split between developer, owner, optimiser and offtaker.
Who uses Gridcog?
Developers, IPPs, investors, utilities, energy majors and consultants, along with large energy users and fleet operators. Teams use Gridcog to evaluate solar, storage, hybrid and behind-the-meter projects before they commit capital.
