Meet Keira Morgan-Williams, our new Account Manager in London

I'm excited to welcome Keira Morgan-Williams to the Gridcog team - joining as our founding Account Manager in London!
Keira brings a background in energy transition from S&P Global Energy, where she supported clients ranging from Benelux and South East Europe businesses to global oil and gas majors and trading houses on their energy transition strategies. Now at Gridcog, she'll be working closely with clients to help them get the most out of the platform as they model their renewable assets and shape optimal portfolio setups.

What were you doing before Gridcog, and what got you into the energy space?
Prior to joining Gridcog I was an energy transition specialist at S&P Global Energy. Initially supporting Benelux and South East Europe clients, before moving on to support S&P's largest clients - from global oil and gas majors to trading houses - on their energy transition initiatives, spanning clean technologies, emerging markets, carbon markets, and long-term energy scenarios.
I've continued building on this expertise more recently at Harvard Kennedy School, completing an Executive Education course on Climate Change and Policy in Energy, deepening my understanding of climate science, international and regional policy, and corporate decarbonisation pathways.
My interest in this space started earlier though, during an internship with a sustainability consultancy. Here, I got hands-on with ESG reporting, having to make sense of the complex energy markets. This experience set me on the path to building a career in the energy transition.
Now, I'm excited to bring all of this to Gridcog, and help grow on the mission to accelerate renewable energy deployment.
What is your role at Gridcog?
I've joined Gridcog as founding Account Manager, based in our London office. In this role, I'll be working closely with our existing clients, helping them get the most value out of Gridcog as they model their renewable assets and identify optimal setups for their portfolios. As a founding member of the team, I'm excited to help shape how we support clients as Gridcog continues to grow.
What attracted you to working with Gridcog?
Gridcog is an exciting start up that I have been following recently through their blogs and videos. Having a background in energy transition, Gridcog was a natural next step to apply my understanding in a more direct and hands-on way, as the share of renewables grows and the need for flex assets becomes crucial.
Beyond Gridcog’s mission, meeting the team in interviews made it clear they were passionate about the business and experts in their field. From then, I knew this was a company genuinely excited by what they do, and I’m now excited to be a part of that!

What do you like to do outside of work?
I love sports, from casual tennis rallies with friends to ski trips that include apres and vin chauds. Just before joining Gridcog, I completed my first triathlon at the Royal Windsor Triathlon. I am a complete novice to this world but look forward to improving my swimming and cycling. I now have all the gear so there’s no excuse!
I grew up in North Yorkshire, so I also love the outdoors, exploring places and long walks. This has ultimately inspired me to book my first multi-day hike this July over four days in the Dolomites, staying in rifugios along the way. Having never done this before, tips are welcome!
Otherwise, you’ll find me out and about in London, with family or friends enjoying a beer garden and finding a fun concert / gig!

What technology could you not live without?
I love technologies that serve one specific purpose. Something I will always carry with me on holidays / days out is my film camera. I love capturing pictures on film that you forget about until the roll eventually gets developed. In my case, this is sometimes a year later but I love looking back on these moments.
